Family, Friends and Folklore

It's been a while since my last blog and it's not because we haven't been travelling. Since last reaching out, we've been back to Costa Rica a couple of times. We did a sail north to the Caribbean from Panama to Barbados, with stops in between, on a three masted sail boat. Last fall we embarked on a river cruise of the capitals of Eastern Europe, north on the Danube embarking in Bulgaria on the Black Sea. We took in Hungary, Transylvania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Coatia and Romania with extensions to Hallstatt in Austria as well as Vienna. Ukraine was only 100 kms away but we decided we best put that off until another year considering the mess Putin has created. I hope I will be able to find the time to keep track of our travels to New Zealand and Bali and update you every so often with a blog posting. We'll be doing a 24 hour layover in Vancouver after flying from Montreal (5 and a half hours) to split up the flight. Then it's onto Fiji Airways and our flight to Nadi in Fiji (11 hour 50 minutes) then onto Auckland (3 hours 50 minutes) and a subsequent hour long flight to Wellington. Ooooof!! The first leg is done with landing in snowy Vancouver on a 787 and dinner out with a dear lifelong friend Ray Brunette. Nau Mai!!
